As a horse lover myself, but unfortunately not a horse owner...I have been reading everything I could get my hands on and try and practise it on whatever horse I'm riding at the moment. My horse family think I'm a fool because when I got distrustful my filly off the track, as a 3-year-old, I said I was going to give her a year of total freedom from any work. Then I was going to let her tell me what she wanted to do. Now..., I have a mare who loves having her tack on, who loves learning new things, and more importantly, one who loves me.
